Activision is an American game developer founded in 1979 and headquartered in Santa Monica, California. In 2007, it announced a merger with Blizzard Entertainment and changed its name to Activision Blizzard, Inc. In 2013, Activision Blizzard repurchased the shares held by the Vivendi Group and became an independent game company. Famous Activision games include the Call of Duty series, the Destiny series, and the Spider-Man series.
