German Federal Ministry of the Interior

The Federal Ministry of the Interior (Bundesministerium des Innern, or BMI) is one of the departments of the German federal government, founded in 1879, with its main office in Berlin. Its main responsibilities include the maintenance of internal security and constitutional order in Germany, and the protection of citizens against disasters and terrorism.
