bitcoin (virtual currency)

Bitcoin (English: Bitcoin; abbreviation: BTC; currency symbol: ฿) is a widely-used electronic currency generated by open-source P2P technology software and was proposed by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009. Bitcoin has an independence that other currencies do not have, and does not rely on central banks, governments, and corporations for support and credit guarantees.
