Exelon (Exelon) the largest nuclear power company in the United States and the third largest in the world, was formed by the merger of Chicago's Electric Power Company (Unicom) and Philadelphia's Electric Power Company (Peco) in 2000, and owns 17 nuclear power facilities, which produce, purchase, transmit, distribute and sell electricity primarily to residential, commercial, industrial and wholesale customers.
