Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (abbreviation: ADIA) is one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world, founded in 1976, located in Abu Dhabi, owned by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and financed primarily by Abu Dhabi's oil revenues. The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority has never published its asset position, but it has been estimated to be between $800 billion and $875 billion, and the Sovereign Wealth Funds Institute (SWF) has estimated its assets at $773 billion (2014 data).
